CHILDREN
CHILDREN’S CHURCH AT PURSUIT CHURCH IS A BLAST!
Pursuit Kids worship through song in Big Church each Sunday, then children ages 4 years thru 4th grade go to CHILDREN’S CHURCH where we use “The Storying Method” to teach one Bible story each week. The Bible stories are taught in chronological order and the children practice retelling the story themselves. The scripture seems to “come to life” for our children as well as our teachers as we add a picture representing each story learned to our time-line. It is so helpful to be able to “connect the dots” between each story so that we understand how the entire Bible works together. After our Bible study we do a creative, fun craft that usually relates to the story of the day. A light snack is provided and then some playtime.
We offer a NURSERY MINISTRY for children birth thru 3 years of age.
ROUTE 66
In Route 66, we travel through the 66 books of the Bible.
Our Wednesday night Children’s ministry is centered on scripture memorization and Bible stories. We are helping our children hide the Word of God in their hearts to build a foundation for life in Christ.
Our Route 66 Clubs:
PUNCH-BUGGIES: Ages 3 – Pre-K
HOT RODS: Kindergarten – 2nd grade
MIGHTY MUSTANGS: 3rd-6th grade
Our typical Wednesday night consists of recreation, music, food, Bible study, and scripture memory. Children earn “Pit Stop Bucks” by reciting Bible verses they have memorized. Pit Stop Bucks can be used to purchase fun toys in our Pit Stop Shop store.
STUDENTS
Pursuit Youth meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30. We enjoy hanging out, recreation, and food before digging into God’s Word. We strive to apply the teachings of Scripture in ways that matter for teens in today’s world. We also build each other up through encouragement and accountability.
COLLEGE
reGENERATION
1st Saturday every month, 7:00 pm
A ministry dedicated to coming alongside college students and young adults to provide opportunities to encounter God’s Presence and to be established in God’s Word.

MUSIC
Gathering to worship the Lord should be one of the most joyful times in our lives and should flow from a heart that worships daily. It is our desire that people would praise God with all of their heart, mind, soul and strength, out of a genuine love for Him, and without being hindered by tradition and fear.
We recognize that music is only a tool that can help a believer to worship. True worship is much more than music. It is fellowship between the Creator and the created. It is our continuous prayer that our music will be useful to the Master as He receives glory from His children and as He does His work within each life.
We believe God is worthy of passionate worship! Just as the angels sing at the top of their lungs to Him all the time, so we should praise Him with all we have within us. We don’t worship out of emotion, but we do worship with emotion.
MISSIONS
Locally, we are involved in a number of ministry and mission projects to show the love of Christ to our community and carry the gospel of Christ to the lost. In addition, we are involved in an ongoing work in the Dominican Republic to establish a Church Planting Movement in the province of Santiago Rodriguez, with most of our work centered in the province’s capital city of Sabaneta. Teams from Pursuit Church have made several trips over the past few years to share the gospel and disciple new believers. We are praying and going – trusting God to build a strong foundation for His life-changing salvation to spread throughout the province, and for His glory to be known by all those who live there. We partner with churches from Lauderdale Baptist Association, and we are excited about missionaries Jay and Courtney Nelson who will begin a full-time ministry in Sabaneta in 2015. We also support the global outreach of Harvest Celebration Ministries. Founders Steve and Connie Hutto are members of Pursuit Church, and their missions organization has helped spread the gospel in Honduras and India for many years. For more information, please visit www.harvcel.com
